Gino gets some help from The King at a Sock-Hop!
Guardrail Gino started his career in entertainment in 1986 when he helped form the band Broken Glass. In 1987 he went on to form The Conspiracy Band and rocked all over Upstate New York. In 1989 Gino graduated from The College Of Saint Rose in Albany, New York with a degree in Public Communication. An internship at the number one radio station in the Capital District, WPYX-FM (PYX-106) got him started in his career as a Disc- Jockey. The internship turned into a full-time job and Gino was doing traffic reports from the Armory Suzuki Road Ranger. After a year on the road, Gino moved into the studio and started producing Mason & Sheehan's Morning Radio Show. After the show moved to WQBK-FM (Q-104) in the Winter of 1991, Gino started hosting Mason & Sheehan's afternoon Get-Togethers at various clubs in the Capital District. Guradrail Gino also hosted his own Rock-And-Roll Dance-Party at clubs in Troy, Albany, Clifton Park and Latham. While working at Q-104, Gino started DJing private parties on his own and with his good friend PYX-106's Uncle Vito Masonetti. One of Gino's favorite gigs was DJing the 1991 Christmas Party for the Albany Patroons and NBA-Coach George Karl. Gino has also done his own radio show on PYX-106, Q-104 and the Oldies Station, 98-WTRY. In 2006, Gino returned to music joining SideEffects, an acoustic outfit out of Troy who is still rocking the scene. Gino has also made guest spots with local bands FULL THROTLE and Live Without Annette.
After alternating between bands and DJing for 20 years, Gino now makes GINOSMUSICSERVICE his number-one priority. To book Gino for your event, please call (518) 587-9241 today!
